ok so my pumas rear wheel arches have some rust on them, i'm hoping to get a full respray(different colour) i'd rather get rid of the rust properly and cut it out then weld a new piece of metal onto the area. is there wheel arches for pumas u can buy to weld into the area that you've cut out?

Peugeot 206 front wheel arch opposite side. i.e. if your passenger side rear arch is gone on your Puma, get a front 206 drivers side Peugeot wing.

 My gawd , a piece of pugot on a ford , Never. I say never. by eckaslike, a real ford man would make one or get a descent fabricator to make one , I mean sounds a good idea , but pugot , on ford , :'(

Mine was done a few months ago with a Pug wing. The guy that did it said it saved him about 4 hours of pratting about and it's a near perfect fit first time. So, what's it to be, £20 or less for a pattern wing or 4 hours at £30 an hour to make one?

P.S. I've owned Fords since 1969, and have had everything from Escorts/Cortinas to Mustangs and Lincolns!

yeah well my uncles a great welder and i can do it all myself so might have a go doing it myself

whats the problem? it is only a sheet of metal at the end of the day made for a different car,but if it is a suitable replacement for puma's rear arch its a bonus for us puma owners...

Depends on how much of the inner arch you need to replace.
The first one took a whole day but I managed the other side in about 5 hours.
I use a joggler so I can slide the new arch under the old one, but you can just put the new one on top and bog further up the rear wing.
I use loads of tack welds, starting with one in the middle then opposite ends to dissipate the heat.
Make sure you take out the rear 1/4 cards because there is sound deadening that will set on fire when welding up, also I sprayed waxoil in the rear quaters so I wont have the same problem again.
