Yes, when I was young about 50 years ago. It was an auto test on grass, I'm seriously thinking about doing autosolos in the Red Puma, the motor club that organised the one all those years ago, are now doing autosolos during the summer months.

I tend to look to get mine done as soon as I can a month before so I have plenty of time to book it in & get up to 13mths until the next is due. Plus gives you time to fix anything should it fail.

I spotted it too late, first one in my ownership and I'd naively assumed that because I'd got a service and MOT package that I'd be contacted to get it booked in before it expired. I did raise this when I booked it in and was given a story about how they usually do but it hadn't been 'activated' yet because we'd not had the first one.

Not really been obsessing - well kinda.

Had some building work at home and the Focus was stuck in the garage for 3 months as there was a skip in front of it!

You can tell I'm forty this year with a one year old daughter when my obsessions these days are between a Kia Sportage and a Peugeot 3008.

Seems like the days of Alfa Breras and the like were an eternity ago.

Nice - nearly bought a VXR8 a while back.

Went to view a few but forget why I never walked away with one. I think one the reasons was a dealer in the midlands that I went to had just that day sold the last one of a batch of 20 that he'd aquired & sold them for only £22.5k brand new (59 reg at the time) which was super cheap as they stopped making them. Had I not gone to view a Cayman that morning I might have been able to snag the last VX myself. If, but's & maybe's

If I'd got one it would have been still worth that many years later as I kept looking but most 2nd hand ones were way more. That sort of put a damper on it as I couldn't force myself to pay more for a 2nd hand one than what I "might" have been able to buy new.

I got impatient in the end & got my RX8 instead, so almost the same thing?...VXR8/RX8
I know, total opposite in actual fact - 6.2L Barge vs 1.3L Sporty thing (or 2.6L depending on who you ask)

They are getting very few and far between although high fuel costs and ved with most being in cat L at £735 a year they seem to be hanging around for sale for a while. I'm looking at the later cv8 models with the 6.0 ls2 engine.
