Hi all, so sadly my Puma has been quoted £300 for welding (and to tighten
the handbrake up) to get it through its MOT and well, I've been eying up
diesels for a while now and I think that's where I'm going to head.

5 months tax, engine has 82k on it.

Passenger foot well gets damp when it rains.

Various body work imperfections as per pictures

Bodywork is tatty but everything else seems to be pretty solid.

It was something I considered when I bought it but it wasn't even and
advisory on last years MOT so whilst I was expecting something, this is not
what I was expecting!

Long story short...

Nearside seatbelt anchorage (Inner and outer)
Offside seat belt achorage (Outer)
Nearside rear suspension component mounting
Offside rear suspension component mounting
Nearside front (floor) suspension component mounting

All excessively corroded

Nearside headlamp not working
Parking brake efficiency below requirements.

That's everything on the MOT fail. Advisories for front suspension arm
bushes.

MOT is on until 4th Feb.

It's had a few bits done on it since I got it. fuel/oil/pollen/air filters done and an oil change, spark plugs and a new bearing on the o/s rear.

Looking for £275 with the tax.

Any questions please don't hesitate.

Thanks!

Ash

Also, do you think anyone will be interested in this or should it be scrapped? £275 isn't much more than what I'd get scrapping it and sending the tax back, I just thought I'd see if anyone had the skill/patience/wish to sort it out as I really don't want to see her scrapped.

Hmm that's funny, Mine just failed MOT for exactly the same things...£300 for welding and £100 (£400) for the rest, took it to a different garage who did everything for £300 inc MOT test
