6006 stereo

Hi folks,

Whats the general thoughts of the 6006 stereo? Read some mixed reports on its reliability and so am not sure weather its worth me putting one back in my car. Its a Thunder but i'm guessing it was replaced with a standard 6000 at some point,.

Should this be a warning??

They're not the best. Most people that have had them get rid because of problems (cds jamming, errors reading cds etc.). I put one in mine, then took it out a couple of months later and sold it.

If you only use the radio, then its fine, but CD operation is unreliable.

when I had my Thunder the least reliable component was the 6006

when I sold the car the first thing the new owner did was take it out!

Cheers guys - think I'll leave in the 6000 - just buy a silver one tho as the one in at the moment is black.
