Good luck - great mileage. Tny pictures but it looks nice and clean.

If you click the photo it makes it bigger.

Car looks good!

Good luck with the viewing, bet you'll be parting with some cash!

Original exhaust :eek:k:

Front Mudflaps :eek:k:

Seats look good :eek:k:

Looks A1 to me, apart from the gawd awful number plate font! Easily sorted though. :eek:k:

That's what I thought :)

Bit of a long drive, but as I've got couple of days off for working all weekend, it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

It just depends what sort of figure I can get part ex...

That's the companies "show plate" Draddy

I was thinking some money could be knocked off for the cambelt - the ad says it would be changed, but it's quite a specialist job for an FRP.

It's no different for an FRP than any other Puma Neil, just a different tool. I doubt they'd have it so I'd rather go to Ford / specialist than let them do it TBH.

Yeah, that's what I thought too.

I'm just trying to find out some history. Apparantly the owner was a member of the Yahoo puma group ages ago, but never joined PP1.

Might be worth an email / PM on Pumapeople to Ed as he seems to know more than most about FRP's.

looks very nice mate. Hope its as good as the advert says and pics look.

you know what your looking for, so brakes serviced, disks ok, stainless exhaust etc. sure you dont need me to say, lol

theres a buyers guide in performance ford this month which could help.

just hope your not superstitious with it being number 13, lol

OK, SITREP on #013....

Even lower miles than I originally thought (only 31k!). Bodywork is in generally good condition, aside from a *minor* dent on the rear wing, and a couple of areas of scabby paintwork. Not a deal breaker though. Interior is mint, no sign of grubbiness on the wheel at all. Seats are perfect.

OK, some of the problems now...

Exhaust is blowing rather badly (fortunatley it is the centre section shared with a standard 1.7 so easily replaced). All alloys are pretty scuffed too, but they are being refurbished as part of the price.
The other slight concern I have is regarding the brakes - there's no mention of any service details in the service history. That said, there was no squealing under braking, nor vibration through the wheel, so it might not be too bad.

The other bad news is I only got offered £1800 part ex for my 1.7. Can't win 'em all though.

Should be putting down a deposit tomorrow I think! :)

Are you sure the centre section of the exhaust is the same as a std? Me thinks not. The FRP has a Janspeed hi flow Cat - not the Ford one in the std one. The std exhaust has a silencer either side of the rear beam whereas the FRP does not. (Only at the back)

Maybe the brakes are not sufficently worn to need a service yet at 31K!?!?!

Looks like a good buy to me :eek:k:

Hmmm... willl investigate the exhaust situtation tomorrow when I phone the dealer.

I'm a bit dissapointed with the part ex figure for mine, but it's still for sale, so you never know, someone might still want it!

Have you sent Ed a quick PM on PP1, might give you a heads up one history, if he has any.

I have - no history available, the previous owners have never been on PP.

sounds like a really good buy mate. Make sure the discs are looking good and thick, you dont want a 400 quid bill for new ones as soon as you buy it. if you do get it, id take it too eldood , £60 quid for a top quality service.

for what it sounds like your gettin the price is right even though the exhaust might be blowing. However state that the frp exhaust aint cheap and try your best to knock as much as you can off, specially as they offered you a low price for yours.

best of luck

Mike
