There is a youtube channel called Big Car, hes just a bloke who makes videos about various cars. Examples include 'The Ford Escort Story' 'The Mini Story' etc etc. I always enjoy watching his videos, they are well researched and informative, and the bloke is quite funny.

So I was watching the video 'The Capri Story' and towards the end he touches on other cars including sucessors to the Capri, and the puma is mentioned briefly. One of the images he used in the video was from Dal and Cherie's old cars. I seem to recall the cars being taken to a photoshoot?

I searched for this topic but didnt see any similar posts.

I watch that channel but missed that Puma picture somehow - I probably fell asleep as I usually binge watch his channel when I'm bored or have nothing else to watch

EDIT:- Just checked (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdOfsY8oS_Q) and it doesn't show that picture in the Capri Story I watched unless I'm going blind (don't reply to that  )

OK - I clicked your picture & went to the time stamp - saw it  Still didn't realise it was from here when I watched it originally.

I always remember the GGS number plate, I always used to think of Quagmire from Family Guy

Just watching it now, they said the handling was good, but a friend purchased one when they first came out and he was very disappointed with the handling compared to his Cortina 1500GT and had several incidents, he had zero NCB after a few weeks, he uprated the suspension springs and shock absorbers several times until he had "the car he'd always promised himself " He did have a few mechanical problems, but compared to the TR6 he purchased after the Capri, it was reliable. He was a very fast driver and drove his cars to the limit and beyond. He'd have loved the Puma.

I would recommend the channel, some really great videos. Funnily enough I work in the factory where the capri was made.

That’s jogged my memory. In the 1960s when I was about 25 I had a neighbour who worked at Ford developments .He had a new mk1 Cortina gt that was used for Ford development parts. One day we wer chatting and I noticed he had some different seats in his car and being nosey I asked why.He said have sit in it and tell me what you think.Jumped in and the interior had been gutted with a dummy lower roof lining and various other parts. He explained it was a mock up for a new European sporty fast back that would be on the market at end of the 60s .Turned out to be the Capri.
