Hi all,
I`m about to fit my FRP cams.
I have the correct timing tool, new belt etc and am up to speed on method..
But...

Does anyone know he correct torque settings for the cam journals and other associated head bolts? The fizzy Haynes tells me the std engines settings, but is this right for the Puma?

Plus does anyone have anything important I may need to know regards the vct etc

Thanks to all in advance, Stu..

8Nm first tighten then 17Nm second tighten is what I did mine to. No need to worry too much about the VCT if you've got the correct tool. If your cams are genuine FRP then you should be ok on the tappet clearances. Don't mean to sound patronising but always make sure you rotate the engine in the correct direction once you've got the belt on. If you turn it back the way the tension can come off the belt tensioner and slip a tooth or two.
