Hi everyone, would like to have a view on this. steming from the ABS snesor replacement I did last week, I had to remove my brake calipers to get the brake disc off so that I can attack the abs sensor easily. upon replacing the discs and calipers, I noticed then that the brake pad retaining arm, or slider as some would call it is only held in place by a SPRING???? the 2 bolts which attach themselves onto the slider through the main caliper unit is not secured to the brake caliper.
And I can push the arm in and out (if I tried hard enough)... is this how it is designed to hold the brake pads?? or am I missing something?? Just think that the design for this is rather.... flimsy??
