Another probably easy one...

How would i approach filling the box up ?

i know i need 2.8 litres or there-abouts...and theres a 8mm? hex bolt to undo at the front of the box ?

Is there any specific routine for this, or any hydraulic pressure needed , or is it as simple as filling it up with a hose and a funnel ?

Thanks in Advance !!

fill point is through the dip stick type breather in the top of the box, it looks like a black plastic square almost under the battery

if you take the maf/filter box to throtle body hose off its easier to see and access

take the hex plug out (you mentioned) and fill till 5-10mm below, this can be checked by dipping the short end of a small hex key in through the hex plug apperture

if you overfill in error you end up with a car that wiffs of gearbox oil but apart from that it never caused any issues for me

gearbox oil comes in a bottle with a flexible filler neck. (even halfords tenner range)
just pop that through the 8mm hex plug and sqeeze.
Use the allen key to check the level (10m-5mm below the filler hole)
If you want to reuse old oil, just buy one new gearbox oil (75w90) and use that bottle.

easier and cleaner than funnels and pipes..

Thanks chaps.

Iv got no battery/tray, maf or induction hose fitted atm, so its a bit easier haha ;)

Where you say dipstick - i assume you dont mean The dipstick ?

With the hex key, do i just undo it and start filling ?, and when you say the 'alan key to check' - what do you mean ? Im not near the car at the mo, so cant have a look, sorry for the dopey questions!

The correct level for your gearbox oil is 10mm - 5mm below that hole.

To check, you need to pop the end of the allen key through the hole, pointing downwards.
You can measure the dry bit.
Remember to have he car level.
