Is SONY CDX-GT540UI compatible with ford audio control stalk

Just won the sony on ebay, ordered the fitting kit (facia, removal keys, ISO adaptor)
and wondered if it can be used with the ford audio controller stalk, as the 6000 & 6006 are both Sony head units.
I had been considering doing the mod and fitting one, if it works it will be a definite job on the list of things to do.

ive gotta sony headunit and the stalk adaptor from a focus, and you can get a connector that makes it work i got it off ebay a few years ago i think this is it but not totally sure but looks the same

ive used it on a normal headunit and this one and works fine

I will get me one of those and the controller stalk soon as funds are freed up
