Oil Starvation Issue?

I’ve recently bought a 1.7 Ford puma, however taken it out on first track day and oil temp rose to about 130 degrees. Popped the bonnet and oil level was still okay and engine temp wasn’t high. Rattling started when push down on the throttle and assume it was oil starvation that had caused the rattling in the engine.
Just wondering if oil starvation is a common issue and would it be worth investing in a baffle oil sump?
