Hi
Thanks for the parts number, URL's and guidance.
I removed the near side liner and cleaned away 16 years of dust, dirt and other carcinogens.
The screws and clips to hold it on where as in the picture below. Any ideas on the part number for the screw on washers?
Two screw/washers combinations, which screw into the nylon inserts in the inner wing, and two screw on washers that twist onto studs welded onto the inner wing needed for each rear wheel arch.
Also noted rust in areas where the fuel filler pipes and wheel liner acting as a mud trap by holding wet mud against the inner wing chassis rail. The mud sits on top of the fuel pipes, wedged up against the inside of the wheel liner.
This is all hidden by the wheel liner nice
 Time for some repairs I think. :-(
The inside of the wheel arch lip was fine.
It appears that the wheel liner was fitted before the brake system was bolted together at the factory as I had to make a small cut to allow the liner past the solid and flexible brake line joint, which is thoroughly rusted together.
I do need the shiny new brake line please James
The amount of paint applied rust protection was definitely driven by the bean counters and not the engineers. It's rubbish.
There has also been a repair/cover up on the lower edge of the sill/wing. As you can see a bit of mental has fallen away and there is further evidence of filler/overspray.
Anyway pictures attached for reference.
