The event takes place on Saturday July 3rd, and as with previous years, our 10th anniversary year sees FRP and Puma owners invited to participate in a giant paddock display, and (for FRP’s) the famous lunchtime parade around Castle Combe circuit (typically 3-4 laps). Prizes will also be awarded for most distinctive FRP in group and best overall car of the parade

V1 FRP will be attending the event, brought by a writer from Practical Classics magazine who will be doing a feature on Racing Puma. With V4 and V5 FRP anticipated to be in attendance, this will see 50% of the original FRP Press fleet reunited.

The Parade lap fee is collected for donation to charity. This year's recipient will be the Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine Fertility Appeal Fund.

Advance* entry ticket to the show (each occupant of your car will require a ticket, including drivers) - £10.

Parade entry per Racing Puma - £7.

Children under 16 get in for free.

(*Tickets on the day will be £12 each).

Due to the popularity of this event, I will again be purchasing our tickets in advance, this allows our group of 30+ arriving Puma’s to smoothly enter the site in one group without having to stop to buy tickets on the gate.

If you wish to attend, please follow the instructions below:

Decide if you would like the Combe FRP t-shirt - LisaFRP will be designing a commemorative t-shirt for our attendance at the event, and these are available to pre-order only. Cost £15 each, available in Small, Medium, Large and Extra-Large.

Previous year’s t-shirts can are shown below.

If you would like a t-shirt, your order must reach me by Friday June 12th!

Send the cheque; payable to Ed Hicks, with a note of your address, your vehicle registration number and any t-shirt requirements if you would like one, to:

Ed Hicks

Bonville Road

BS4 5QR

The pre-purchased tickets, paddock passes and t-shirts will be handed out on the morning of the event at our pre-meet assembly point of Morrisons supermarket, Chippenham. This is a great place to grab breakfast and last-minute supplies, plus there is a BP petrol station on the entrance road to the store.

Those attending should aim to arrive at Morrisons between 0815 - 0845hrs - the whole group will be leaving Morrisons at 0900hrs promptly.

Ticket orders where t-shirts are not required must be received by me by Friday 18th June.

For anyone thinking of staying the night before, there is a Premier Travel Inn just across the road from the Morrisons meeting point.

Note: Racing Puma owners who are taking part on the parade - as with previous years there will be some form insurance indemnity paperwork for you to sign on the day that will permit you to take part.

thats why I knew would be okay here.. :)

Lets the FRP owners know about this get together.... very seldom you could see many FRP in one place.

We do go on track, but only a parade lap, so "should" stay below 40mph, but i got to 70 last time.

Number of laps depends upon other clubs, the escort RS club, where farting about, so they pulled the parade off the circuit.

70? I got to 110 on the way up to Quarry in 2007 :p

the lunchtime parade lap is celebrating...

Castle Coombe's 60th anniversary
RSOC 30th year
Racing Pumas 10th anniversary
Bristol & Swindon's 15th year at Coombe

was that normal track time, or parade laps?

The "parade" laps. Well, lap 5 of the official 3 but we got a bit carried away. Colin, Chris and I were trying to keep up with Toby in his turbo nutter car!

you dont! you must sign up to rpoc, for this they require all your details, including eye colour, hair style, job description and income bracket....and thats just to view the forum! if you want to go along to anything they require 3 pints of blood or a relative to be handed over!

& dont expect much for all that either.....its purely for those who love to 'belong', theres no actual benefits like them selling frp parts, sourcing manufacturers to make new parts, stripping old unloved frp's etc.....

and for all thats holy dont, never, ever, for one second suggest anything new or different or dissagree.....they will shoot said relative!

oh dear i seem to be rambling again...! (can you tell i wasnt particalarly impressed by the rpoc?!!!?!)

Thats not always the case jacko, they have already opened up one 10th anniversary event to non members, and has been advertised on PP1, to non members, and hopefully RS day, will be advertised the same way.

You've already said you have a clash of opinion, with some of the RPOC, but please don't turn this thread into a place for you to air your opinions, about the RPOC, I'm mearly trying to get the FRP 10th anniversary known, and giving the opportunity, for all FRP owners to attend.

if you dont have to be a member, il definatly attend. What is the special 10th aniversery meeting? Briefly heard about it but know nothing, lol
