Compared to it's contemporaries, remember this was 1997 when it was released, the interior design was pretty OK...it does look dated today (as you'd expect) but I find the smooth shapes cosy and comforting and the ergonomics simple and unintimidating.
I really dislike angular interiors (not exactly a Feng Shui follower) that most modern cars seem to have (e.g. Sitting in a Fiesta MK5 is like sitting in Legoland), and the excess of buttons all over the place like some cheap microwave oven...not to mention the 'me too' silver sprayed plastic for the 'alloy effect' which I think the Puma adopted early on but I hate so much it is now completely absent from my Puma's interior.
The only silver things left on mine are the wheels, calipers and light reflectors pretty much :lol:
