just wondered if any of you have splashed a copy of your existing frp wings and bumpers?
or if anyone has purchased a body conversion and pulled off molds?
I'm considering doing some custom wings on my car and a set of grp copies would be useful as a starting point.
If I can get the kit to how I want it, and pull a set of molds, I'm tempted to splash out on some CF cloth and try my hand at wet layup (may just be the top surface with GRP behind it but still lighter than the existing steel)
PM if you dont want to talk about copies in the main forum
regards shane

If you want perfect cosmetic carbon then you will find wetlay method an expensive mistake. Unless you have plenty of experience, it can be hard to get a perfect finish first time. You would be better off trying resin infusion as if done correctly will produce good parts every time.

pumaspeed rear wings are £150 each...buy one and take your own mould, thats what im thinking of doing.

yep, with some help from Warren :)

performance trim were going to do carbon fibre resin infused front frp wings for £250

pumabuild want £999.99 new, £400 used!!!! robbing b@$tards!!!!!
