Mine only pinches a wee tiny bit on the passenger side, I have't even bothered to look into it yet.

Cleaned the engine bay
Sorted a slight rattle with the exhaust, was one of the brackets.
Dust caps, as they were absent
Fixed...
Here is a wee picture showing the bonnet closed detector, I guess you could keep it down with tape? Actually, surely it could be removed and the wires bridged to similar effect :)

I assumed it was the doors or boot lid, when in my case it was the wee button under the bonnet.
I'll get a picture later, but its a push switch right at the front of the engine bay.
Mine wasn't making contact with the bonnet, so I used something to help it connect when shut...
