Prep for Regularity Rally - Suggestions?

Unfortunately no parts from other cars, so brake upgrade is a no go. Just decent discs and pads will have to suffice. Just job it's a little lighter on brakes than others competitions. I can add a brace and swap out the bushes, but suspension would need to stay as is (although I will renew it).

Prep for Regularity Rally - Suggestions?

To cut a long story short, my plan is to take the Puma off the road for a while. One of the reasons is that I need a four door car for a while (I am about to become a father again 16 years later) but I would also like to start taking part in "Regularity Rallies" and the Puma seems like a perfect...

    "El Puma"

Bit of a scare last week when I was called over the PA of a Supermarket to urgently go to the parking lot. On my way there I was told the Puma was on fire!! As I made it to the car, a worker pointed out how much "smoke" was pouring out of the engine as he ran to break the glass on a fire hose...

    "El Puma"

Ok, understood. Maybe it is the air con that is causing the issue. To be honest, I have had plenty of older cars with A/C (before the fly-by-wire) and never experienced this issue, but it could be that they didn't have a oversized compressor like the Puma does. I am used to the loss of power...

    "El Puma"

Thanks @DOH, I'll see if I get chance over the weekend to have a look. @CherryVimto, thanks for the input but this doesn't seem to be related to the switching on/off of the A/C. With the A/C constant (the A/C doesn't automatically turn on off as there is no ambient temperature control) it is...

    "El Puma"

After a couple of weeks, it seems that the stalling issue is finally resolved. The car does still drop to 500RPM when braking with the clutch in, but this doesn't cause it to stall anymore. However, when the A/C is switched on, the car seems to not be running smoothly. It is fine most of the...

    "El Puma"

I finally managed to get the ICV changed! I read through this thread again from the beginning, and after 2 and half years of the car stalling on me, it seems it is finally fixed!!! After swapping out the ICV, I did the ECU reset as it wasn't running well (it was jumping from 1000 to 1500 rpm...

    Front panel from broken radio

Ian G, I have sent you a PM, it seems to still be in my "outbox" instead of "Sent" which I am not sure if it is normal, let me know if you don't get it. Thanks.

    Front panel from broken radio

It will be at least June by the time I get around to even needing it, if you are ok to wait that long? I will also be needing a rear (right) light and a couple of other bits. Whichever is easiest for you.

    Boot Struts?

LOL, just reading this reminded me today my boot. I am not sure if they are for a Fiesta or not, but they are ridiculously powerful. It's great for ope ing the boot as one press of the button and it literally shoots open, however, it is a real PITA to close as you need both hands (and plenty of...

    Front panel from broken radio

That sounds excellent to me, as long as you feel it is enough and are willing. I have a couple of other things I was going to ask you about, but they need to wait for a while as the XF is currently getting some new bits. I believe you already have my email, but if not, drop me a PM with...
