Folks, I got it sorted Ian G, thanks a lot for the offer of a free coil pack, in the end I got one for about £30 and fitted it myself. No more stuttering, car is back to the way it should be! Been sorted for a while now, just now had the chance to come on here for a bit. Cheers Jono

Thanks for that. Means I have no idea again as to why my car is so juddery once up to temp. Unless disconnecting the lambda and having the juddering still happen doesn't rule out any fault with the lambda sensor... :?

Disconnected the pre cat lambda tonight. Car still drove exaxtly the same. Does a 97 R plate have a post cat lambda too? Cheers!

Hi Well I have now fitted a new hcv, a new thermostat and drained the system/filled with new coolant. Temp gauge still will not go above 1/3 - sits on the 'N' on normal even after an hour of driving. only sits half way when car has been idling stationary for ten mins or so. Any other ideas...

Well mine is a 97 R, so mine should have spacers behind the hubs? Why would someone retro fit front spacers? What difference would it make on standard suspension and wheels? I'm gonna take them out. If they arent meant to be there, then they arent gonna be there! Cheers Jono

Hi folks Another question!! During normal driving my temp gauge does not sit at halfway. It sits just on the 'N' of the word NORMAL i.e. about 1/3 of the way up rather than on the 'R' which would be halfway. In fact it only ever reaches the 'R' (or half way mark) when I leave the car idling...
