Hi, I've just had exactly the same thing happen with the heater. It turned out to be the heater control valve, which is not too expensive to replace. Although buy the correct one from Ford because there are alot of old series parts which may develop this issue again.

No the 1.6's never had them but I was thinking of the ones the 1.7's have yes. Makes the bay look much better but i just dont know if it's possible.

Hi, I want to put a sports exhaust onto my 1.6 (2001) mid and rear sections to start with. The question is which one do I go for which will not be too loud inside the car but sounds good outside and of course reasonably priced. Please help. Mark
