Update - after cleaning the MAF and the air filter and also running cataclean additive to the fuel, I took it back for another MOT to my usual garage and it passed.
He did say it scraped through on emissions and again, Sorry I forgot to ask for the results.
Hi all,
Thank you for your replies.
I must admit the guy who tested it the second time wasn't my usual guy I take it too and I did warn him it would need a good warm up as it struggles with emissions.
It failed first time round because of the handbrake cable but as they were booked up, I had...
Hi all,
Having difficulty getting the FRP through the emissions test.
Has always struggled getting through but for some reason this year is proving too difficult. I had a sports cat replaced on it 5 or so years ago and usually a good warm up helps get it through the test.
Has the Cat failed...
Thought I should update... so PumaBuild still have these.
Although they are no longer the original items, I have been told they had these remanufactured and only difference is now they have a plastic outer coating.
I just purchased 1 of 3 they had on their shelf costing £120 plus £5 delivery.
Hi, does anyone know what that plastic lip below the number plate grill is and whether it is simple to remove and to refit?
Why do some pumas have them and some don't?
I actually prefer the look of the black plastic lip rather than colour coded as makes the grill look more aggressive open.

103 has recently failed it's MOT on a handbrake cable.
I see the part number is 9087845
Simon from racing-puma has kindly pointed me in PumaBuild direction.
Would anyone know where else to purchase the cable?
I have also read the fiesta Mk6 st150 cable can be modified to fit? How...
Hi all,
My black roof strip things are becoming unstuck. Open to suggestions or how to best stick these back, or get new/replacement strips.
Thanks
Mike
Hi, thank you for the reply.
So does the standard focus MK1 fit all puma or just the FRP, as mechanic used the vin to check with ford and I thought it might pull info for a standard puma.
Hi all,
Have been advised the front left Alcon disc is slighty warped.
I have been looking into replacements but believe all original Alcon discs are no longer available.
I see puma speed do a machined down pair or believe another option is the bell and rotor route?
The mechanic also...
At times it’s louder than the exhaust and seems to increase with speed which makes me think either the rear wheel bearings or dodgy tyres. The tyres are fairly new and haven’t seen much mileage either so thinking the bearings.
Would anyone know how difficult it would be to replace the wheel...
