Mine sounded like that at first. But also had f all power higher up the revs. Found out it was a combination of a blocked exhaust and the cone filter not being seales properly

All the cataloges say clevis 1997-1998, loop 1998-2001. thats why i'm not sure. can i tell by jacking it up and looking

I've got a 1998 1.4 kat. how can i tell if i've got loop or clevis rear suspension. need to change it asap and don't want to order the wrong one

just fitted my new brake discs. They look the dogs. Didn't have time to paint the calipers though. Will post pics to night

Got to much suspension work on mine to worry about rust but i'm watching this thread closely for when i do it in the future

tried to do an oil change today and failed. got it jacked up, on axle stands, couldn't budge the sump plug. anyone had the same problem. i broke my socket. tried wd 40 and leaving it for a bit. did not move. I'm not a pussy, go to the gym 4 times a week but still did not move. Don't really...

A cold start at about 1500rpm is normal in any car till the choke closes

I think i've got roughly the same thing with mine. Doesn't like going up hills much either. I've got some new ht leads and coil pack on order. i'll let you know how it goes when fitted

I think it looks great and you'll love it for about a month or two then get bored of the looks and either have to spend more money modding it or get something else. why don't you try something half way like a xr4x4 cossie rep.

I just got a set from lidls and they will definatly do the job. As said they are TUV approved so shouldn't let you down. They are only small but will do fine for working in the arches e.g working on hubs, brakes, suspension etc
