    Hello Red, No, tried that as thought I'd found it at first - it definitely sound like it's from behind the dash centre somewhere. Had the stereo out to fit the new one and couldn't see anything obvious.

    Bit of an update / progress report: Two months in and everything is still good. Not had much free time to do much but to be honest I'm just enjoying driving her. I've racked up 3000 miles in the last two months and already the car has paid for itself in fuel savings! Been doing a few MPG...

    The great news is she's just flown through her MOT with no advisories. :grin: Costs: Car - £150 Brakes, oil, filters - £65 Wipers - £6 ABS sensor x 2 - £18 CV Boot - £5 Balljoint bolt & nut - £2.50 All in under £250 for a cracking little car. I'm over the moon. 8-)
