By "analogue dash" I assume you mean the milometer is the old cassette style with rotating numbers? I think my car is right borderline, as it has one lambda, and I'm fairly sure it has the larger rear drums too. But an electronic dash I believe!

A back box alone will give zero gains, at least a cat-back is needed for anything remotely noticeable.

Anything not supported by the suspension is classed as unsprung weight, so the shocks themselves, all of the braking components, hubs, wheels etc. A lot of clashing rules but generally they say losing 1kg of unsprung weight is the equivalent of 6kg up top.

I feared that might be the case, do you happen to know the offset of them? And can they be corrected with the use of spacers? That's good then, wasn't sure if it was a bit more in depth than the 300mm. I might not bother with the rears then, are there bigger drums that can be fitted with...
