tbh I wouldn't use gasket sealant with a new rocker gasket, overkill and may cause future sealing issues. just make sure the matting surfaces are clean and free of debris. use a small bit of clean oil on both surfaces before replacing the gasket, this can stop the gasket sticking when removing...

just to put my penneth in, yes you have a leak in the rad, that is going to stop your coolant system pressurising properly(along with the bodged header tank), guy who had previous may have put in radiator sealant, did you see orange sediment in the coolant hoses ? also did you bleed properly ...

I had a similar experience after buying a black lemon E36 coupe, except some fella had put miracle head gasket sealant into the coolant and the problem only came to light after I changed the coolant, then all hell broke loose, flying temp gauge, blown hoses and a cooked motor, in the pissing...

no reason for not going with Puma parts, its just I am in Ireland and if something fits from a fiesta then there are hundreds of them about.. will have to go looking further before getting a proper diagnosis on the problem, whether as Ian said with the lay shaft bearing or worn drive U/J.. was...

I have issues at present with what i suspect is a dodgy drive/UJ vibration, shuddering when accelerating Its a 1.7, year 2000. just wondering what parts are compatible from other ford models to sort her out ?

vibration through the wheel is horrific when accelerating hard.... she recently passed her mot so that rules out the wheel bearings what cv joints fit the 1.7 or are they common item on the puma ? thanks for the feedback, will get the cv joints off and check them out
