    Fuel light bingo

I've had the needle most of the way past the black line when getting 38 miles from the light on I was beginning to worry a bit though as some of it was through town.

    adrian flux are &*(^*)&^*(!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm I take it the Police made the enquiries on the Motor Insurers data base after a PNC check. This data base is notoriously dodgy. It's administered by the insurance companies the data that goes on it is up to them. A lot of them are lazy about what they put up on it. Named drivers and details...

    How lucky I am

I used to live opposite someone who obviously worked shifts, every other week at about 4.30-5.00 AM through the winter the starting procedure described above would commence. chugga chugga whirr whirr one of two things would happen the car would eventually start after as much as ten fifteen...

    Non starting Puma

Battery was the culprit. Sixty quid from the ford Service place just up the road. Which was £25 cheaper than Halfrauds. Partco or whoever they are now were a little cheaper but by the time I'd driven there it wasn't worth it. Many thanks all for the advice and replies.

    Non starting Puma

Something I don't possess at the moment unfortunately, the starter motor seems fine on the jump leads it fires perfectly. Battery is the favourite culprit especially as it seems to be gaining no charge what so ever. I can't think what has drained it either I didn't leave the lights on or...

    Non starting Puma

Well I get all the lights on the dash but when you turn the key just the good old solenoid click. It starts with jump leads without a problem. Drive it round for about half an hour. Stop the engine then try for a re start nothing but clicking solenoid again. So am I correct in thinking the...

Such sad news, losing a pet after a full life is sad enough, to loose one so soon is even harder. You have my sincerest condolences.

    Drivers Club

In '97 I would either have been driving a 9 year old Fiesta Festival or a 2 year old Honda Civic 1.5 ESI with their version of vtec four door saloon. I would have had me licence about 14 years by then.

    Clear or smoked repeaters?

you do sometimes have to be firm with the twisting. One side of mine was easy the other took a bit more work.

    Newby - Buying info request

And the 6006 CD player can have a whole set of problems of it's own. Quite a few people seem to have problems with theirs not accepting discs or refusing to play them. From previous posts it would seem to be a double edged sword of an upgrade. Also be sure it is a Thunder, apparently some...

    Water Beading Detail

Well the weather didn't play ball here today it kept raining off and on. Suppose it depends how quickly you get through a £40 tub compared to a £10 bottle. If it's anything like solid engineering blue a pin head of that seems to be able to cover an area the size of a football pitch. Maybe the...

    Water Beading Detail

One of the main things is claying the car before you start trying too much with the wax. Before i tried it I was a bit sceptical that claying would make much difference to a car that wasn't going to be a concours super detailed car. But it does what it says on the tin it makes the surface a lot...

I was forgetting the Italian connection or is it the USA connection??

    Oil Related

Diesel oils usually have different additives and extras in the oil, something to do with diesel engines "chopping" up the long chain molecules IIRC. I t all gets very complicated and chemistry driven. Basically although the viscosity is the same the make up of the oil is slightly different and...

Puma Club Italia - Ford Fair 2008 - Sunday, August 3rd.

There's now a stand pass and ticket going spare I won't be able to get to Ford Fair, some problems I've had today mean I just can't spare the day. Sorry it's such short notice and that the Fact Sheet etc are going to be wasted. I hope you all have a great day and the weather holds good. Hope...

    My car is my hobby

As you say the Puma is your hobby as well as transport. If you did sell it what else would replace that, you will find something to fill the hole left and that would probably cost money as well but not provide the transport you require. If you're under no direct pressure to sell and your partner...
