    If it does multiple pops when letting off the revs between 3-4K RPMS, then it has a TAPE. There will be a difference in a remap, as it removes the torque limiter in first. :wink:

    There's two oxygen sensors on a 1999 and up Puma. They usually throw up codes when they're bad enough to fail emissions. Take it for MOT after a long drive. Give it a bit of a hoon to clear it out. I do this on diesels before MOT. Get it scanned before wasti g money on sensors on a whim.

    Mines a X reg 2000 model. I'd rather have it on a chip, to be 100% honest. As I know they remove the torque limiter in first gear. :wink:

    Hi, doubt it'd be a problem on the stock system. If it is a problem, your insert will probably snap off. unlikely though.

    If there's a problem on the DIVE ECU they keep the engine light on. Only the TAPE ECU has the inability to keep the light on, but the codes are stored if there is a problem.

    If it isn't throwing a eml, have you got a reader that does livedata? Check the fuel trims if so. Just take it for a spin and see how it's fueling.     The DIVE to TAPE is fairly simple. Unbolt & remove the DIVE, then relocate pin #80 to pin #75 on your wiring loom and off you go.

    Hi, Parkers sell reducer sleeves over the counter. Get the correct diameter of your backbox and catback and then get the reducer welded into the backbox, and clamp it to the cat back.

    I would have gone down the TAPE ECU with a Racing Puma map. It's much better. Also, the TAPE only requires one lambda sensor. I put money on your lack of one or two lambda sensors in your 4-2-1 is creating these problems, as the car doesn't know how much fuel to throw out. So it's running...

    When he revs the engine, there's like an induction noise that you get when you have a open panel filter on, but this car has its stock air filter on. And it makes the same noise as an induction filter.
