    ULEZ Compliant?

Has anyone on here with a NOx value of 0.083 g/km managed to get CAZ (Clean Air Zone) compliance for Bristol and Birmingham?
  2. D

    ULEZ Compliant?

Yes, Bristol and Birmingham are the only two zones (Class D) where cars are subject to emission standards.

    ULEZ Compliant?

Given that you have been granted compliance by TfL with a NOx of 0.083, if you input your vehicle registration into the checker on the government website, does it show that you're compliant in all Clean Air Zones outside London (including Bristol and Birmingham)? If so, has this happened...

    ULEZ Compliant?

Escalate to complaint. D Milton (Donna Milton) is not competent to do her job.

    ULEZ Compliant?

I say please keep going too. At least TfL have acknowledged the fact that the standard is indeed less than or equal to 0.08 g/km, not 0.080 g/km as they stated in their previous response to you. I note that no apology has been offered for providing you with incorrect and misleading information...

    ULEZ Compliant?

Can't find original page on TfL website at moment (maybe they have removed it), but here's another interesting FOI request and response: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/transparency/freedom-of-information/foi-request-detail?referenceId=FOI-3195-2223 The original TfL document for ULEZ standards...

    ULEZ Compliant?

D Milton needs a rocket up their ar**!!! Can't even manage to quote their own standards correctly. The Euro 4 limit for NOx for petrol cars, quoted on their own website, is "LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO 0.08 g/km", not "less than 0.080 g/km" !!!

    ULEZ Compliant?

Well done. I've been trying to dig out the original European Directive for Euro 4, showing that the NOx limit for petrol cars is quoted to 2 decimal places (whereas subsequently, Euro 5 & 6 are quoted to 3 decimal places). I've had my Puma for over 22 years - there's no way I'm scrapping it now!

    ULEZ Compliant?

I hope you have more luck than me, Richard. Mine has a NOx of 0.083 and my application has been rejected by TfL four times so far. I've tried the 2 decimal place argument several times, but they just keep insisting that 0.083 is greater than 0.08. I think it's just pot luck as to which TfL...

Many thanks for this - I shall give it a go :)

    ULEZ Compliant?

Can anyone provide any further details about how to apply for exemption please, for those of us not on Facebook? Or how to contact Rich Chanter direct? Can't find anything about TfL only working to 2 decimal places for NOx. I still have my original CoC (owned the car from new) - it shows NOx...
