:lol: Problem solved, just got a new one on ebay ,exactly the same unit, with code , well chuffed. so now i,m off outside to immediately rip the old one out , take it to a large rock , and hit it several times with a big hammer, thankyou all for your messages.

:roll: MMM a bit baffled here , i have a ford puma , 1999 with 6 cd changer head unit , some times it works o.k the next it reads cd error , it loads o.k , display spot on, it starts to go , then again , cd error , any ideas please.
