Thanks to some advice found on this site I have now solved this problem , the latch on the boot lock itself has a white switch to the bottom right hand side as you are looking down at it , this switch was wobbling round like a loose tooth and was not located I clicked it into place and closed...

Hi I kept my boot open while moving a large item in the boot for a short distance , after this the door open light has stopped on , cleaned up the connections checked the earth connections on the dampers on the boot , cant seem to find the fault can any body help .......
