Millenium for sale, NO RUST, 70k, extras included £1250

Hi there, after 2 years of happy motoring, I feel it is time to move on from my Puma. I am going to be completely honest and list everything I know about the car: The Spec: 2000 (w) reg, Taxed and MOT'ed until end of July Yellow, polished and looking bright. Air Con (regasssed and cold as it...

    Car Wax

To get the best out of wax you should really polish the car first, which basically exfoliates all the knackered laquer which causes discoloration. If you just wax it then it will be shiny, but retain the imperfections underneath. I work as a valet/detailer and would reccomend the autoglym HD...

    Suspension and (poly)bushes

I fitted some new bushes a couple of weeks ago, the bushes I used were powerflex for the rear beam and front antiroll bar bushes, and racing puma bushes for the rear lower wishbone. Here are my thoughts: Firstly, Topmansparkie, I used to have the same problem bottoming out on speedbumps where...

Toyota GT86 / Subaru BRZ Appreciation Thread

I'm with you evilrob.. (although the telly is staying) I called Bell and Colvill yesterday asking for them to send me a BRZ brochure as soon as they get it. I have never bought a new car before but if i'm ever going to, its got to be one of those...

Number of Issues - Seeking Advice

I had come to the belief that 4 wheel alignment was pointless on the Puma because the rears are fixed and they track the front end relative to the rears? I may be wong though... Regarding the tracking, I was getting through a set of front tyres every 5000 miles and they were only wearing within...

Toyota GT86 / Subaru BRZ Appreciation Thread

I have been eagerly anticipating this car since the very first rumours of it were circulated. In my eyes it looks like the bastard child of a Lexus LFA and a Nissan Silvia S15, two of the nicest looking coupes in my eyes. C'mon Toyota, do an expensively gorgeous interior with a Rolex style dash...

The other fords in the family

MMMmmm... I would literally kill for an Escort Mk2 that looks that good. When I bought my Milly, I bought it off my brother who fell in love with another yellow Ford he found at a random second hand car dealer near Chichester. He loves it, and has never looked back, but his driving style is...

Squeaks and rattles from the back end...

Does it sound like its coming from the rear suspension or the boot? The bootlid on my Puma squeaks and chirps when it is cold, and having had the rear bushes and rear top mounts done last week I know it can't be any of those. I'm pretty sure the sound in mine is either coming from the boot...

What's your favourite song for a spin in the Puma?

If i'm in a rush: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKMNnd1TaUY" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (not suitable for people who can't handle loud, filthy, banging dance music) If i'm going for a long cruise, ie motorways: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-G28iyPtz0"...

Found something loose under the bonnet?!

Fantastic news, the Puma has cost me quite enough this month already I'll keep in the shed along with all the other useless bits: ie useless parcel shelf - to make my Puma just a fraction more lightweight  Cheers for the peace of mind.

Found something loose under the bonnet?!

Howdy all. I was just doing some underbonnet checks today when I saw this sticking out at a jaunty angle. A quick prod showed it was loose, then under closer inspection noticed it wasn't attatched to anything at all! It was located between the engine and the battery.. So my 3 questions...

6556 members on this forum - petition?

As much as I would love Ford to bring out a new Puma, I don't think they're capable of it. All the dynamic sparkle and driver involvement they put on their cars, part of the new edge design rolled out about '98, has seemed to have faded away. Having driven a couple of new fords (a Ka and a...

Top Gear 18 (Neil's new moan thread)

I bet they'll use an old Saab 900 in this series somewhere as well. I was in Dunsfold Aerodrome last week where they have a scrapyard for all the cars they ruin: this Saab was dumped right at the front..

Buying a Puma in the new year - advice?

Good choice, Melina Blue is a great colour, our familys first Puma was in that colour. That was in 1998 and we've never not had a Puma sat on the drive since. My story is a lot like many others on here: I bought it as a go-between car (after my 200sx) and have kept it ever since because it is a...

    Another Pink one!

Heh heh, well worth a chuckle. In the cars defense it looks like they have done a half decent just of fitting the bodykit, smoothing out rear badge hole etc. I know its not to everyones taste (not mine for sure) but at least it hasn't been left to rot. I can't really report them to the taste...

Are they FRP cams or just regular 1.7 cams?

    Seized Engine

Look familiar? I had exactly the same thing happen to my Puma, I feel your pain. It may be worth looking into just replacing the whole engine, I found this was the quicker and cheaper option than rebuilding the old one. I paid £300 for a 50k mile example. I think you'll find most mechanics...

    w reg puma millenium breaking

Ok cheers, how is the front bumper, is it warped at all? I had mine resprayed and it warped so might be interested in yours. I'm not really fussed about the lower splitter if it has gone AWOL. Also, could you tell me what parts code suffix the airbag control module is? This thread is relevant...

    w reg puma millenium breaking

Any idea how much the bonnet would be to post/courier to Sussex? If its in nice condition I might have that off you, as well as a couple of other bits.
