Quote to fit Heater Control Valve

I posted last week about getting a new Heater Control Valve. I got one from Ford, paying pretty much the same price as other posters had paid. I just called up a local garage to find out about fitting...£60! He also said if it's the wrong part, he'll charge me £60 per hour while its on the ramp...

    Buying an FRP??

Evening, Maybe I'm going mad, but I'm very tempted by the FRPs on Pistonheads right now. They have quite high mileage though, at 65 and 82k, but are both the same price at 6,300. I almost bought one before but kinda chickened out — but I'm kinda bored with my usual standard Puma and want...

    Drive shaft seal

Evening all ...A search of the forum suggests Jacko had an issue on his FRP back in 2008 with this seal, but he didn't mention how he fixed it. Mine's gone too, and is slowly leaking fluid. My Dad reckons it could have been damaged while the clutch was being replaced. Anyway, does anyone know...

    Road trip with the Puma

Evening all, Man, I really should start posting in here more again. I miss it. Going on a bit of a road trip this week with the Puma..and 13 friends. Changed the oil today and got some proper tyres fitted - got some Toyo T1R. It feels much better than the budget ones which were nearing the...

    Clutches

Afternoon. I'm sure many of you have at some point replaced the Puma's clutch. I think mine needs doing as it slips a lot and has become slow at pulling off as a result. I should be able to spin the wheels right?! How much are they generally? Any recommendations as to which to buy and where from?

    Engine Cover

Decided today I spray my engine cover. It was looking a bit dull. I got some silver spray paint and a pot of black paint which I'll use to paint the raised lettering. It looks better already. I'll post a pic when I'm done. I thought black would look best on the letters.

    Got a Puma Headlight...

...but it's in not better condition than the one I needed it to replace :( I only paid about 20quid off ebay for it though, so I might be able to get some money back on it. Does anyone know how to remove the headlight bracket from the bottom of this thing? It's stuck on at a single pivot...

    Parcel Shelf Hanging Pins

Has anyone ever fitted these little things? They fit in the hole, but of course they won't stay becuase the legs need to be seperated behind the panel...which I can't figure out how to do to make it stay. There is a straight-through hole, but using a paperclip to bend them from the other side...

    Private Parking Tickets

I wish I was sent this a few months ago! http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/private-parking-tickets" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Even Martin Lewis says to NOT PAY private parking fines. A useful guide here to cowboy parking tickets.

    Removing the Puma head unit

Since I can't really afford to get someone to fit my kit for me, I'm going to try to fit my own head unit. Does anyone know how to get the standard ford unit out of the facia...without keys? I guess it's impossible without those isn't it? Is it fairly straight-forward to wire up the amp and sub...

    Sorting my sounds

Evening Just won a new head unit on eBay - I think it's a bargain. Under a 100 quid for a Blaupunkt with USB and stuff on it. Fairly chuffed with that. Also tryin to get hold of a sub box. Thing is, I wanna change the door speakers too - does anyone know the measurement of them? What size am I...

    Almost ran out of fuel!

...like a noob! Yeah I was driving back from Cambridge to Notts today and (for some reason) didn't refuel when I had the chance. So I was 12miles away from the next services, with the fuel warning light on and literally fumes left! Man, dunno what I would have done if I had ran out there and...

    Pipercross Filter Help Required

Hi peeps. Hope you're enjoying this weather! Can someone advise me on this? I am fitting a filter purchased from our friend Chris. The filter cone has a rubber side inlet tube. What is this bit suppoed to connect to? The main hole fits rather perfectly, but I was wondering what else needs to...

    Alloys

Hi I'm scavenging around on eBay looking for some suitable wheels. Do you reckon black alloys would go with a silver car? Also, I know a lot of you have 17s...but I can't help expect that they would rub, surely, especially when lowered! I was considering these...
