Hi

I purchased my first FRP in the summer of last year. Prior to collection it had undergone a cambelt service. I'm looking to keep for a few years but will probably be doing no more than 1000 miles per year.

Based on this can somebody please advise the correct service materials to use when it comes to oil type, plugs, oil & air filters, fluids as well as the servicing of the Alcon brakes?

Finally based on my anticipated mileage over the coming years when would you recommend future cambelt changes?

Many thanks

Hi Big Fella.. :p

I do a lot of Puma/FRP work etc...

If it's a comprehensive service covering multiple parts and issues (a bit like the one I offer haha  )...then 5 year cambelt service as recommended seems quite soon on a car that does low mileage...however, the original 10year interval does seem far too long...

Regards

Chris

With Regards to the brakes....that depends if they've had a proper strip down or not....

After I've done them I generally recommend getting them looked at every 2-3 years.... if they're left for too long you end up replacing every part and it's VERY time consuming and expensive..

:eek:k:
