Landed myself monday and tuesday off, so decided to do 3 days of detailing!
Started off with the girlfriends corsa, last seen 3 weeks ago. Forgot to take any befores of outside, but it was very good considering the monsoon rains we've had here!
However, I first started with the interior, some befores and afters in varying degrees!
I really need to buy the missing parts for my steamer, it's suffered from water-in-footwells, which have mysteriously disappeared after a damn good pressurewash in the drain channels Needs a damn good steam, did a few spots here and there with the APC and george, so I know it will come up well!
Just a heavy mist with APC, scrub with a microfibre and dried with george cleaned them up a treat!
Car is a 2002 corsa, and I always emphasise cleaning the headlining first to get rid of smoke smells. The owner smokes, I smoke and I bet lots of the previous owners did too...
Also some blue wax crayon on there which came off as soon as it saw the APC :thumb: Smoke smell now gone, damp smell more prominent
I scrubbed the fabric parts of the doorcards, dash and most plastics with Megs APC and varying brushes. Came up well so I left it naked. Pics later! Found £2.95 so happy girlfriend :doublesho
Started to rinse down. Blacklight & V7 still prominent after last time :thumb:
I used the oscillating nilfisk head, and my angle adapter to clean the arches. I missed loads without the angle adapter and more mud fell out of the inaccessible parts! Wheels came up well enough with the pressure washer alone.
Then my new AB foam lance with Elite car care snowfoam
I think once the novelty and fun of it wears off I'll dial the dillution up, but not now
Tightwork and whatnots were also tickled during the dwell time. Hardly needed any apc :thumb:
Poor Puma out on the road abandoned for another day!
Then rinsed

I then prepped the wash. BTBM used
Rise...
Rise...
RISE
I then filled the foam lance with some Starjagloss RedSno, after reading ChrisCPT's post about it being more of a shampoo-foam rather than a pre-wash foam. Jovely stuff!
Foamed a few panels at a time then went round with the mitt to get the most of the foam
The whole process felt so slick and lubricated. It certainly felt like a better wash.
I then rinsed and dried using my Elite Car Care drying towel
Always regularly fold your drying towel
Once dried, I machined the second half of the bonnet to stop the constant moaning about how horrible it looked compared to the jewelled left side!
The car looked ok finish wise so I went around with my HTST Gtechniq C3 to top the protection up. Lovely stuff, mirrors the finish a treat! Glass was treated with it as well.

I didn't dress the tyres. Put my foot down and said the next tyres I dress on the car will BE THE NEW ONES (went down well )
And some afters of the interior
Carpets still need a steam to get rid of the damp smell.
I think new mats are needed. Need to hide the Powered by fairydust ones at halfords.
Should do it for another few weeks. Had hoped to do the Zafira today but its raining so in bed watching Men Behaving Badly :thumb:
