hi all,

has anyone actually done this or something similar yet?
i'm debating on a Mondeo 2015 steering wheel as it has the right controls and stays as a Ford. i didn't want a aftermarket wheel as they're not for me (personal taste)

any help would be appreciated thanks :)

ohh and Merry soon Christmas :p

I know you can fit some older steering wheels from ford. I, for instance, got an escort rs2000 steering wheel in mine. (the one with the red center circle). also, the fiesta mk5 steering wheel is basicly the same as a puma. I don't think that new of mondeo steering wheel will fit. Airbag will be diffrent. Also, has it got the the 6 sided center connection like the puma wheel? If I remember correctly the new fords have some kind of splines?

P.s. Sorry for my english. English is not my first language.

Airbags are usually a universal plug, but whether the module will be compatible with the much older Puma ECU is another matter.

As for the mechanical fitting I think the new ones are a spline style.

ahh well that sucks. was hoping the Mondeo 2015 steering wheel would be a plug and play but guess not :(

I would be surprised if you would find anything from a 2015 ford mondeo that is plug and play ford a puma.

Got a escort rs one in mine. Doesn't have an airbag tho. Nor steering wheel controls

I solderd a 2.2 ohm resistor and a (I believe) 630 microfahrad capacitor together and put it into the connector (with some isolation of corse). A guide is also somewhere in the how to section I believe. Use the search function if you cant find it

I'm building a puma super rod (oval circuit). Engine mods in formula are minimal, so its all about weight loss. I'm looking at running the original puma ps rack without the pump (keeping it oiled by linking each side of rack) on older cars I have built (especially with my dad) he would keep the steering wheel big. I'm gonna lower the seat position and use a bigger wheel. Any ideas on what might fit? 👍👍 I'm not talking huge just bigger. Cheers

Some fiestas came without power steering and had a bigger steering wheel, I think also the Ka has a bigger steering wheel since some of those also came without power steering.
