Suddenly, No Gears..

Hi all.
I took my puma to Angelsey Circuit yesterday and boy did it hold its own
Untill i went to change up coming out of Peel corner as the top o the hill and couldnt find any gears :? :woot:
there was no crunch or bang or anything just a "sloppy" gearstick,
I coasted into the pits and managed to get out of the way (Id have been horrified if id been towed off)

the linkage moves as it should but, no gears!

Any Ideas? I wont get to the car till later and dont know whats happened yet.

I would say double check linkage and where linkage connects to the shaft on gearbox,

Im hoping its nothing more than that,
the car is getting quite sorted,
I dont want to be doing major surgery...

Maybe the nylon / plastic bush came apart in the linkage?

Im off to the car now,
The linkage does look favourite, Gotta get myself a 9mm drill i recon.
If thats my fix ill be delighted :grin:
my power steering pump exploded on the Transit on the way there so I kinda got my hands full....

Bad news....

Linkage all correct and shaft moving properly in and out of gearbox :-(

My guess is selectors,

easier and cheaper to find a nice low milage car with the usual snapped timing belt....
