OK, I'm looking for donations:
http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/detail/motors/classic-cars/ford/puma/176432

Based on the engine, we are looking at at least 398 BHP and four-wheel drive. I quite fancy the idea of going down to Sainsburys in this.

Everyone who donates more than £10,000 will get a free sticker with a picture of a Puma on it. :eek:k:

I note there is a slight stain on the driver's seat, but that's not surprising given the power to weight ratio.

Ford experimented with a Puma shelled Escort 4x4 WRC in period, but the concept was never developed into a full works car. However a number of similar cars were built and have subsequently proven to be very effective in rallying and other disciplines.

This fabulous example was built by the late Gary Midwinter's Active Motorsport company, with full approval from MSA including low volume homologation. Prepared and run by Motoscope and campaigned successfully by David Brown, the car has an extensive specification, including:
-shell prepared by Tarcal Fabrications
-Millington Diamond 1 Turbo engine (100 miles since built)
-Two stage anti lag, twin boost control solenoids, water injection
-Pectel T6 engine ECU
-competition loom by ex Boreham specialist
-GEMS colour dash monitor and data logger
-GEMS diff ECU with variable maps via dash switches
-rebuilt active front diff with mag case, active centre diff
-new AP triple plate carbon clutch
-Xtrac 140 sequential gearshift
-all magnesium fully rebuilt M Sport gearbox
-3" stainless exhaust, mostly ceramic coated
-billet front prop
-rebuilt 9 inch rear diff
-GKN driveshafts
-WRC rear cradle
-adjustable anti roll bars front & rear
-Pilbeam front x member
-Proper WRC high ratio power steering rack
-Reiger triple adjustable dampers
-AP 4 pots front and rear with 315 mm discs in gravel spec
-Ap 6 pot front callipers 356 mm discs in tarmac spec
-ATL fuel cell
-Kevlar bumpers, wings and rear quarter panels
-Steel doors with electric windows
-Flocked dash
-18" magnesium Oz wheels (tarmac) and 15" magnesium Speedlines (gravel)

Never accident damaged, very competitive and ready to compete.

...I send you my best wishes... but that's about it  Heck of a machine, tho' for £100k I think, at the very least, I'd want a dash that didn't look like it'd been made from one of Jacques Cousteau's old wetsuits!

+1  - Besides that it looks like a really fun car to drive but for £100k! That's just outrageous!
