Hi all, have been lurking around the site today, and I'm impressed so I thought I'd join up, I'm looking to get a Puma 1.7 to turn into a little toy for track days. I have been wanting to do track days for years now but family commitments have always seemed to get in the way. Even though we have a 13 year old son for some weird reason we had decided to have another, so last year our second son arrived. I came to the conclusion very quickly that I must have been mad lol. But I digress slightly, my point is I have decided that at the age of 31 it's about time I had something for myself to have time out now and then, in comes the Puma :-D
I've had many many cars over the years, to name a few, 2 mk2 Golf GTI's, Nova GSI, Astra GTE, Toyota MR2, A few Escorts, BMW 318, Saxo VTS, MG ZR, there's loads more basically I've had more cars than my dad and he's turning 60 next year lol. I have messed around with all my cars in many ways modding etc but as of yet not for track use so this will be a first for me.
I have heard that the Puma is a good little starter vehicle for a newbie to track driving, which I have never done, I did skid training and advanced driving while in the army as a driver in various roles mainly for emergency response with medical units, but doing that and track driving are two different things so any advise or a pointer in the right direction is always appreciated.
Anyway I've rabbited on enough, and well done to those that managed to read this far without falling asleep, :-D I look forward to my time here.
