Thank you everyone for your input. It is the high pressure hose.
Well, this is the bad boy that our mechanic painfully removed without breaking. Going to try to get a new one made tomorrow. 🤞 🤞
Well, despite the correct part (number anyway) being available to put in basket and go to check-out - when I contacted them to get more details, the reply was "Unfortunately this spare part is no longer produced. Thank you for contacting us".
Ahhhhh! I guess I am getting it made after all!
Hi. Do you still have this part by any chance. Very interested if it is the right one for mine. I was given Part No. 1127271.
Would you be able to re-send a photo, as I couldn't open the previous ones. Thank you!
Well, turns out the wires with ringed ends were grounding.
We connected them to the cill after seeing we had no power to the instrument cluster when engine on, (working on standby, so not fuse issue) to test the theory - everything then worked as it should. Electrics working properly now...
Also a query on the loom....
Putting my Year 2000 1.7 back together. Over the years, several garages have 'fixed' wiring issues.
Are these wires in the driver's footwell (under the fusebox) supposed to be connected to anything?
Also in this loom of wires, the brown wire had been cut - anyone...
Hi. Did you manage to upload that PDF? I have a 2000 reg 1.7 and really need a wiring diagram to reconnect the tailgate electrics. Any help appreciated! Thanks.
