I've never had a set of injectors fail on a petrol car.

If it does multiple pops when letting off the revs between 3-4K RPMS, then it has a TAPE. There will be a difference in a remap, as it removes the torque limiter in first. :wink:

Mine pops like a FRP without the map. Standard TAPE pops.

There's two oxygen sensors on a 1999 and up Puma. They usually throw up codes when they're bad enough to fail emissions. Take it for MOT after a long drive. Give it a bit of a hoon to clear it out. I do this on diesels before MOT. Get it scanned before wasti g money on sensors on a whim.

Where are you based, if you were to do the map for me?

Mines a X reg 2000 model. I'd rather have it on a chip, to be 100% honest. As I know they remove the torque limiter in first gear. :wink:

Hi all, does anyone know a place that does the FRP map cheap. Is there a option to have it on a chip to plug in to the OBD port, or does it really have to be mapped onto the ECU? Thanks in advance.

Hi, doubt it'd be a problem on the stock system. If it is a problem, your insert will probably snap off. unlikely though.

If there's a problem on the DIVE ECU they keep the engine light on. Only the TAPE ECU has the inability to keep the light on, but the codes are stored if there is a problem.

Aircon will make the car idle to about 1200rpms, then drop to 1000rpms.

Hmmm, I've never heard of lambda sensors causing MOT failure. If the eml light isn't on, there usually isn't a problem with them. Give the car a good hoon, and get it nice & warm for the MOT. I do it with diesel's, take them down a country road and give them hell up hill. Obviously if the car...

If it isn't throwing a eml, have you got a reader that does livedata? Check the fuel trims if so. Just take it for a spin and see how it's fueling. Another option is to check the spark plugs, only remove and install spark plugs on a cold engine. There's no point in changing ECU now. It'll just...

The DIVE to TAPE is fairly simple. Unbolt & remove the DIVE, then relocate pin #80 to pin #75 on your wiring loom and off you go.

Put 5 litres of super unleaded in, as it has old fuel. No need to drop the fuel just add super unleaded.

Hi, Parkers sell reducer sleeves over the counter. Get the correct diameter of your backbox and catback and then get the reducer welded into the backbox, and clamp it to the cat back.
