ford puma 2001, 1.7 16V, silver, 74k miles, V5, 2 keys, good engine, no tax or mot, slight corrosion on wheel arches, has been lowered by about 30mm, polybushes on rear axle, new fuel pump fitted, new fuel tank supplied (needs fitting), K&N filter, mud flaps, multi-lock fitted with 2 keys...

I have developed a loud humming/whining noise from the engine/gearbox area when I get to 40 mph and gets louder the faster I go and there seems to be a strange smell from the engine area when I stop, I thought it was wheel bearings at first but I've changed the fronts and the rears and the noise...

Yes the abs/tc light comes then goes off a couple of seconds after the engine starts and the car does the self tes ok after driving off.

Hi, it's the same noise you get when trying to pull away in the snow when traction control kicks in (living in the north east we have plenty of that) but only happens as the car is just about to stop and nearly releasing pressure of the brake.

Hi,guys need help with problem brakes, when braking there is a loud grinding noise as if the abs is on this only happens when I've slowed down at junctions etc and happens as I am just about to stop which I can feel through the pedal also, there are no abs/tc lights lit and this fault happened...
