    Top strut mount replacement

I've been hearing a noise from the front right. lifted the car up and pulled the wheel upwards and I could hear and see it being the top strut mount. Is it just the rubber part that needs replacing? Also, looking at guides on other cars, they always remove the whole suspension to replace it, but...

    Bucket Seat Mounting

For the moment I think I'll make an extension rearwards on the sparco subframe so I can hardmount the seats without runners. Should be the easiest way to get a nice fit.

    Bucket seat fitment

Hi, I'm thinking of mounting a bucket seat for the drivers' seat. I'd keep the R100 I have for passenger side. I have Sparco subframes. Sparco subframe + runners + bottom mounted R100 sits higher than I want it to be. Looking for measurements is not easy and might be different once I'd try to...

    Bucket Seat Mounting

Thanks for that Brian. Those indeed looks to be sitting really nice and low. I might look into modifying the standard frame for the drivers seat atleast. Been tempted to get a bucket seat for the drivers seat anyway and in that case I think it would be possible to get enough adjustability...

    Bucket Seat Mounting

Starting looking for measurements and concluded that side mounted seats would probably work really nicely to sit low again - also feeling stupid that I just didn't google side mount vs bottom mount etc. :) Will probably keep my driver side with the modified standard frame for now and look into...

    Bucket Seat Mounting

I have ordered sparco subframes and mounted the passenger side with the subframes + runners + sparco R100. Like that it's noticeably higher than original and definitely higher than I want them, also the far backward position is not as far back as I'd like it. For a passenger side I think it...

Engine mounts to fit front lower strut brace

Received my vibra mount today - think I'm going to be a bit cautious and order the standard part and get the vibra mounted to it so it's done to simply replace it. Thank you everyone for all the posts, will surely take it all in account when I replace so everything gets done right.

    FRP Sparco pretensioners & mounts

I received my sparco subframe today - with the pretensioner mount as in the above pictures - but for me those doesn't fit at all - the "guide bolt" and the hole that should fit the torx needs to be the other way for me, they also don't line up as they should... is it just different for different...

Engine mounts to fit front lower strut brace

hmm, considering buying a standard new one just in case then. Hadn't heard of issues fitting the new mount in the old housing before. But I can understand it would be tight, maybe it's possible to sand it down slightly if it won't go in. as long as pressure is still required to get it fitted it...

Engine mounts to fit front lower strut brace

Regarding vibra being too stiff - I think I read about it and that the "competition" one can be harsh but I think the road spec I'm going with should be fine. I've seen others do the mod you're suggesting which sounds like a nice "budget" fix. Already ordered the vibra mount so just going to...

Engine mounts to fit front lower strut brace

Yes, it's the mount below the battery tray. Happy to hear this post helped you. Seems to be a common issue. I'm gonna start replacing this mount and I'm expecting that to do the job, if not, I'm gonna change the engine mount on the other side (but looks like to me that this one never really...

    What a drag.

Well I would imagine drag wise it's better to maybe keep the tray even if wheel is removed. Ideally you would maybe remove the tray as well and make your own flat floor to replace it. I thought I had the tray left on mine but now when checking I realise I don't have it - and it really is quite...

Engine mounts to fit front lower strut brace

Took a look and does indeed look like it's hanging low in the mount. Heard the Vibra upgrade is sensible also if you're going to fit 4-2-1 manifold which I'm guessing will be done sometime in the future so while it's expensive I think it's worth it.

Engine mounts to fit front lower strut brace

Okay, so I figuerd out there weren't 2 together, that was only the one that didn't need replacing. Found out the gearbox one that needs replacing is under the battery! Little experience of pretending to be a mechanic but I'm slowly figuring it out. So I'm going to buy the road spec...

Engine mounts to fit front lower strut brace

So I have concluded that the engine mount looks the same irl as on the demontweeks picture and is a mount that could cause the engine to sit lower. Then it should be 2 more mounts and if I understand it correctly from looking under my car those 2 mounts sit together? the one further behind...

Engine mounts to fit front lower strut brace

Hi, I have a lowering front strut brace I would like to have fitted, but the gearbox sits too low. So would need to replace mount(s). I'm really just wondering which one(s) that needs replacing. Would like to ship from demontweeks if possible, are those I need available and in that case...

How do I cancel the airbag warning light?

Hello, I recently changed my steering wheel in the puma from the original. No issues except for the airbag warning light. I have some cables which are meant to be used to cancel the warning light but no instructions on how to actually do it. So would really appreciate someone having experience...

    High-flow catalytic converter advice

Alright, likely change of plan. Hadn't realised before that this package had a sport cat option. http://www.pumaspeed.co.uk/product-Full-FRP-Puma-Manifold-Race-System-PACKAGE-DEAL_690.jsp&pic=1 But any comment on that is also welcomed, should pass MOT, right?

    High-flow catalytic converter advice

Hello! Finally going to get the complete exhaust replaced. Firstly it's not in a good shape at all but also would like to get the performance gain. So a 4-2-1 exhaust manifold is definitely something I want but to pass inspection I also need to get a sports cat that can pass MOT. So this is...

    Mr Fox's Puma

Haha, will start with writing the same, I've not been on for a while now, but thanks a lot for the answer, very helpful! Will still wait a while to buy but Turini's are definitely what I'm still after!
