    Puma 1.7 being scrapped

Hello Paul, Regards your comments of any kit cars, is this for you or others? I ask, as there is a mass of people on the Fiesta forums wanting the lump and gearbox. (Groups on Facebook also). The Mk4 Fiesta are plentiful cheap enough for swaps..... Good luck with it either way

My brother runs Auto-Genie, an Essex/East Anglia based company covering all types of paint correction, valeting and detailing. Today, the poor sod got to grips with my car, must be a bit of a shock after some of the client cars he gets! My car has had some action over its 15 years, and before I...

    Tyre choice

Would nt have bought them for the car, but as they were on already, I thought I'd try them. Never used them with standing water, it's not surprising to hear about the aqua-planning.

    Tyre choice

Yokohama AD08R- Brilliant , brilliant tyres, wet or dry. They are not "unstickable" but good if you can sense grips levels Toyo R1R- Great, less sticky than the above but quieter Toyo R888- Crap in the cold, but when warmed up, bloody amazing! (V Noisy) Tested in a e36 318is and a mk3 Gti 16v...

    So I bought a Puma......

It is interesting how a Fiesta Xr2i can still demand good money, but a faster, better handling "warm Ford" goes for peanuts. Not that I'm complaining.

    Timmy's Puma

That car is a real credit to you. The deep red really suits the shape. I hope to get mine into that shape one, but as the rust is already in the rear arches, and my suspension sounds as buggered as yours did. Hopefully mine will be ok, first two weeks of ownership have, squeeks and knocks aside...

Richard, if you decide (or indeed need, you seem pretty handy) that you want this properly undersealed, my brother (Based in Wickford) does this and paint restoration for a living. https://www.facebook.com/autogenievaleting/?ref=ts&fref=ts He does all sorts of special metal toys :) Say Rob...

    New Moondust arrival

The Battlesbridge Ford show is a good "local" show, Ford Fair is good but does have some knobs in attendance as most national shows do. Would be good to let people see it, a non crusty low miler would be great to see as a reference/aspiration point. On another point, Modern Classic Magazine may...

New Member New Puma New Track Project!

Please do set up a Project thread, my one is new to me, and somethings adrift, it handles well but makes some terrible mount or bush knocking sounds . (I've driven BMWs for the last few years so know what it feels like to drive cars with knackered bushes) I'd be keen to someone how someone has...

    Which polishing pads/compounds?

I've used G3 this week on my FNS wing with lubed microfibres. It worked well, and I reckon had I done it with my machine polisher, it would have been even better, but I've only just got the car and am not used to the car, its paint.

New owner with cheap eBay special :)

Run it for a few days now. Love the handling and the way the engine revs so smoothly. Brakes are a bit lacking however. The niggles I've found so far are: Passenger window doesn't operate from the drivers side (but does from "it's own" switch) Odd tinny rattle from the back, but no looseness or...
