Vehicle For Sale Puma 1.7 quick sale

Two small areas of rusting have appeared since my last thorough inspection last autumn, one on the sill and the other on the rear arch, both on the drivers side. I have attached pictures for your perusal. Pic2 is the arch patch magnified, and pic5 is the condition of the sills bar a bubble as...

Vehicle For Sale Puma 1.7 quick sale

I would agree with you but for the fact that I've been under and sealed the rear half and couldn't find rust. I had one previously and it fell foul of the same problem. All I can do is take and post some pictures for you perhaps tonight.

Vehicle For Sale Puma 1.7 quick sale

Yes, it slipped my mind. I have never appreciated the value of money, which is probably why I have so little yet am so content and young-looking. I would say 1K is a great price for a buyer and a do-able loss for me, but as I said I am open to offers.

Vehicle For Sale Puma 1.7 quick sale

2000 silver Puma 1.7, 79000 miles, in Lancashire. Believe it or not, bodywork totally rust free - not even a tiny bubble. Good condition throughout, all original. All cards on the table, timing belt started to rattle and as I am returning to two wheels now a leg injury has recovered , and the...

    Deja vu.

I've never used this term before, but OMG!!!! Just picked up Kitty from the garage with shorter springs on and am blown away by the difference in the ride. Doesn't feel noticeably harder, and it corners beautifully, not to mention the sportier look. Thanks for everybody's input, and if anyone...

    Cleaning steering wheel?

I know. Stick a hot needle in it to reveal the truth. The trend is to use "leather" loosely, and only to use "real leather" when it is animal hide. I bought a leather briefcase once on Ebay and got so p****ed off arguing with the seller that I sent it him back melted into a plastic blob. I don't...

    Cleaning steering wheel?

To answer the original question, no it is not leather. Lots of people say it is, but it ain't. Some leather cleaning products might work on the pvc, but that doesn't mean it's leather (After all, metal polish shines plastic, but it's still plastic)

    Deja vu.

Thanks for that, red, I can understand that. I have found a compromise now, and have ordered a cheap set of 40mm springs, as well as having found a little garage who will fit them for eighty quid. At that price I can try them for size for a month or two then either swap back or buy a more...

    New Headlight Rubbers

I know this is a dated thread, but I would also like a set, and wondered if there are any to be had.

    Deja vu.

Thanks all for your input. As I suspected, it's a personal thing with both pros and cons so i'm still torn. I could spend on lowering the height, and perhaps suffer on my daily commute (the local council went speed-bump mad recently on my route to work, and they are edgy and unavoidable). On the...

    The gunky steering wheel. Help!

Just to clarify for the majority of owners, the standard wheel covering on bog standard Pumas IS NOT LEATHER. So many posts have made this assumption and as a leatherworker of twenty years I can tell you that it is faux, or PVC to most people. There have been misleading references on internet...

    Deja vu.

Hello everybody, just acquired a 2000 1.7 Silver with 70,000 miles on the clock. I had the same model a few years ago, and have regretted it rusting away from under me and scrapping it ever since. This time around I intend to spend whatever it takes to keep it on the road. It is fairly rust...
