I had the same problem with the middle brake light not working. Spent time trying to change bulbs, checking wiring before looking on the forum. Your advice was brillant, wire was broken. Definitely a design fault. Thanks for the help. :grin:

What an amazing bit of advive. Yes the needles were still stuck on max when the ignition was switched off. I followed your suggestion and it worked. All guages are back to normal. Thank you so much for your help :-)

I connected the battery with the ignition switched on. Now the needles on both the speedo and rev counter is stuck on max. Any suggestion. I have since disconnect and reconnected the battery without resolving the issue
