speedo and rev counter stuck

I connected the battery with the ignition switched on. Now the needles on both the speedo and rev counter is stuck on max. Any suggestion. I have since disconnect and reconnected the battery without resolving the issue

Hi and welcome.

That's a weird one. Are they still stuck on max even with no ignition on?

If you have the digital odometer, press the trip button and keep it pressed in while you turn on the ignition and engine then let go of the trip button within 3 seconds. This will show TEST on the odometer. Then press the trip button again (it will then say GAGE) as this normally does a needle sweep on all dials which 'may' reset them for you.

What an amazing bit of advive. Yes the needles were still stuck on max when the ignition was switched off.
I followed your suggestion and it worked. All guages are back to normal.
