    Seat Belt Re-Webbing

I needed to replace my driver's seat belt as it was fraying in two places. Possibilities were a s/h unit from a scrappy, or get it re-webbed. I have had my it rewebbed using "Quickfit Safety Belt Service" They are in High Wycombe, Bucks, and did a "While you Wait" service, which meant I...

Royal Mail Tractor Unit v Golf

Some of us may have seen the clip, and the quote, " I did not see him". As a once Puma driver, I can say that on a number of occasions I had to take avoiding action because the SUV moved left into the lane that I was occupying, because the driver had looked over the top of my Thunder !

I have four Thunder alloy wheels in my garage....... Not to sure how to post images, but I'm sure you all know what they look like. All Circular and no significant surface damage, but finish is showing it's age. In Winchester area, for collection or may be able to deliver/meet within...

C4 "Battle of Britain - Model Air force"

Anybody see this programme that went out on Sunday evening ? Groups of British and German R/C Model Makers re-enacting the Battle of Britain at 1/10th scale. Quite amazing to watch. A clip of one of the German participants, clearly showed a Silver Puma on his drive - I wondered if he was on...

    Good News, Bad News!

The good news is, that Pumas are now worth up to £2k with Ford Scrappage deal just announced..... The bad news is that it increases the likelihood of Pumas being scrapped, which does annoy me as more and more classics are likely to disappear from our roads, and not just Pumas.

    HCV Control Volt Check

Brain was wandering (as it does at my age) and I was wondering how to check the square wave that controls the HCV without an oscilloscope. Has anyone tried connecting a 12v bulb to the plug and seeing if the brilliance varies as the control is moved up and down from hot to cold? As the pulse...

    Sump Plug....

I have done a few oil changes over the last 40 odd years, including about 6 on my Puma, but for the last two, I have suffered a slow drip from the sump plug. For both I have used a new sump plug, and tightened it as "normal". I did a bit of searching on the forum, found a post with torque...

    Inner Rear Arches.....

Most of us by now have rusty rear arches, but my inners are pretty ropey, to the extent that the brake pipe brackets are about to break off..... Has anyone sourced any inner rear wheel arch replacement panels or part panels ?

    Ford Front Struts/Dampers

Or this thread's not long enough.... I've got a broken front spring - so time to sort out all four corners with new springs and dampers. The replacement front strut has a much shorter threaded portion, to the extent that you just cannot get all the bits on. It is suggested that the top weight...
