I've always thought Pirelli ought to have stuck to calendars, but I have just got a set of 17" wheels fitted with P-Zeroes.

Anyone know anything of them?

PZero Rosso or Nero? (Nero I'm guessing)

I've heard they are a great tyre - think my dad had them on his Merc and he swore by them.
A bit soft apparently and can wear quickly when used in anger, but excellent grip.

Little review:
The Pirelli Pzero Nero is relatively new to the production line. It is the closest you will get within the Pirelli range to a track tyre. Its design is like a something out of a science fiction film! This tyre has been seen on some of the BMW, Mercedes and Audi range. The braking distance is something that is noticeably reduced due to the increased footprint provided by the tyres tread section. The softer compound in used by this tyre doesn’t allow a great life span – but lets face it, a short but fun lifespan is better than a long mundane one!

Probably not the Rosso anyway, as they were really Porsche specific apparently.

Good tyre though :eek:k:

It must be said that the Big Kat is a bit of a barge. The chances of me flinging it, Puma-style, into corners are pretty minimal. That being the case what I really need is long life and low road noise rather than ultimate grip..

If I can track down any Toyo T1-S when the time comes that would be my first choice.

The T1-S is slowly being superceded by the T1-R, with 12 T1-S variants remaining - hopefully they'll still do the size you need in T1-S if that's what your after. :eek:k:
