It's trying to find a bike that will be a good all weather commuter, looks decent and doesn't cost the earth to insure (bearing in mind i'm 23 with 2 fault accidents to declare still with 6 years ncb though :s)

definatly look at the bandit then hun also the CB600 is a good option

The 400's would be ideal too but they tend to be grey imports and can end up costing you on the insurance due to that

Some wise words of advice there I think.

I think the biggest problem in the fun stakes for the bandit 600 is that it's probably about 20BHP down on it's rivals (from what I remember off the top of my head). It's around the mid 60's where as the fazer, hornet and CBR are probably more like 80-90 or something like that.

Still the Bandit will get you to scary speeds pretty quickly lol
