Black Diamond / The last king of Scotland

I've had the pleasure of watching both of these films in the last couple of weeks and have enjoyed them both.

Black Diamond stars Leonardo Decaprio as a diamond smuggler and I think proves that Titanic was the biggest mistake he made. He's much better than that. If you get a chance, have a watch.

Maybe not quite as enjoyable but still well worth a watch is, The last king of Scotland. Idi Amin's crazy way of running things is really quite scary and Forest Whitaker is brilliant.

Both films are quite violent but never before have I wanted to visit Africa so much.

Is Black Diamond the one where Leo tries an appaling South African accent?

Forrest Whitaker is a great actor and hasn't had the recognition he deserves IMO.

That's the one. Sounds just like a South African accent to me.

Both good films in different ways. Decaprios accent was annoying, but other than that it was an enjoyable fim. The last king was quite slow to get going but a good steady film to enjoy.
