They occasionally take them for a spin. As I left work one afternoon I saw 2 GT40's coming back into plant.
As an apprentice I can remember the Mk1 Escort being parked up next to our workshop & I actually had a play with a genuine model T.
I keep meaning to go over to our heratige centre to see what they still have on show but never seem to get the chance :-(
 
Classic Ford magazine borrow some of these cars occasionally and also do articles on special ones like car 200 an RS 200 which wasn't registered until the early 90s, I think.
Great cars, though. I wonder why British people have such an affinity to an American company. Is it that the cars were so good looking compared to the other British offerings or is it the simple but brilliant engineering compared to other marques.

V1FRP is FMC001, the first of the press fleet Racing Pumas.

Production 0001 is a different car, and in private ownership.
